YouTube starts deleting views, likes, and subscribers. It was announced in June 2014, but the 'real cleanup' began in September 2015. By 'real cleaning' we mean the advanced automated system to remove views and likes from your videos or subscribers from your channel.
YouTube is deleting inactive accounts
They claim that only closed or fake accounts will be affected, but that is partially true, as inactive accounts will also be deleted from your subscribers. We agree that closed accounts, deleted accounts, accounts no longer in use, and fake accounts should be deleted. But what are those inactive accounts? YouTube, similar to Facebook policy, uses its algorithm to keep an expiration date on subscribers, so those who don't visit your channel repeatedly will be deleted.
According to YouTube, this will result in less spam, and more subscribers to your channel who are genuinely interested and actively watching your videos. That may be true, but they're missing out on many reasons to subscribe besides day-to-day activities. Maybe you only subscribe for a video or two, send someone the channel URL, or watch later, and then forget about it, or you just prefer to trade subscriptions. All of these, and more, can get you removed from someone's channel or someone removed from your channel. Also, there was an issue with joining YouTube and Google+ accounts, where after merging, all your subscribers and all subscribed channels disappeared from the list. This bug seems to have been fixed, but if you google it, you can still find evidence of this error. So, the message is next - promote your work by no means other than the YouTube way.
We fully support YouTube's idea of not having "fake" accounts, but we don't think these new YouTube changes are the right way to accomplish that. We are waiting for YouTube to officially release its new policy so we can clearly see what it will mean for our community members and how we can protect them from unwanted influence.
We do not want to mislead our community members in any way and that is why we are sharing this information with everyone. We believe that a well-informed community can make a difference, and we can all benefit from it. Any new information about YouTube policy changes can be helpful, and we encourage our community members to share information with each other.
Channel owners should expect their subscriber numbers to drop in the coming weeks as a result of this new policy. It is our hope that this YouTube policy will make channels more valuable to businesses and owners, and to the YouTube community as a whole.
First, if you want to earn and subscribe, create a real and active channel with videos and publicly displayed subscribers. Then, use geo-targeting when finding customers. Customers in your or neighboring countries are less likely to be deleted than customers in other parts of the world. And, of course, make interesting and good videos, so your subscribers will want to check your channel more often.
In summary:
Our website has nothing to do with removing views/subscribers from your videos and channels, as views/subscribers are being verified and some may be rejected. Whether views or subscribers come from our community website or not, it's based on their algorithm. A YouTube subscriber needs to be active on your channel, like your videos, watch them or comment on your videos. We are offering subscribers, not active subscribers. If our member is interested in your channel they will be active but if not then they will not visit your channel after subscribing. All interactions received through our community website are legitimate social media interactions, and real people spend time viewing/following/liking your works.
